Last weekend, on my first campout in the 2007 DM T@B, I tried to put up the new awning I bought from Teardrop Shop.
It was traumatic because the light was fading, I was tired, I was hungry. It didn’t seem to want to feed into the keder rail. I paid more than $400 for the awning. I was feeling anxious.
I opened up my laptop, found the Internet at the campground to be sucky, switched my cell phone to hot spot, and jumped on a T@B FB group to get help. I got responses immediately.
I left the campground to go buy silicone spray. That’s what’s nice about doing a maiden voyage close to civilization, you can go out and get what you need. I went out another time for Coleman fuel and a citronella candle.
Back at camp, a woman from Oregon gave me her phone number in a FB PM and she talked me through it.
The next day, with the gentle sun lighting up my new front porch, I was elated with how it all turned out.
