My Gear: Tactical Little Flashlight

It took a while for me to buy a good flashlight. I got on the road July 15, 2017 and didn’t purchase this little gem until Nov. 6, 2017. So that’s almost 4 months taking night walks around the campground with some “alternative” lighting source that were just weird.

For instance, I carried the wind up emergency flashlight I bought several years ago. It’s not very bright, and you have to crank the handle for a few minutes before you can use it. That’s not practical for taking walks around a campground.

Then I carried a very expensive rechargeable work light that I got as a gift. It is super heavy and doesn’t have a narrow beam. It was brighter than heck, and maybe way too bright.

Finally after all this monkeying around, I decided to get serious. I researched small flashlights that are rechargeable. I detest batteries. Anything I can get that is rechargeable is much better for me.

This one, the Anker Super Bright Tactical Flashlight, had great reviews! It’s small enough to carry in my walking bag, fits nicely in my hand, is indeed super bright, and it’s rechargeable. I suppose it could also be used as some kind of weapon.

It’s more expensive than some piece of junk that needs batteries. I’ve been using it for 9 month and I highly recommend it.
